Joe Alwyn has made his first public appearance since the split from Taylor Swift.
The British actor attended a dinner hosted by Celine artistic director Heid Slimane at Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc Monday during the Cannes Film Festival.
Alwyn reportedly had several writing credits alongside Swift using the name William Bowery. The actor sported a pale pink satin shirt, black pants, and a pair of shades to go along with the outfit.
Swift reportedly met Alwyn back in 2016 at the Met Gala in New York City and started dating shortly after.
Back in 2021, the two actually lived together in North London. Taylor Swift also returned to the US quite often during that time to stay at some of her other estates and properties throughout the country.
The pair kept a lot of the relationship out of the spotlight, to which some believe lead to their downfall.
Last year, Alwyn explained why he did not want his relationship with the singer in the press.

Speaking to the Guardian, he stated “It’s just not for other people. And I don’t say that with aggression. I don’t know how best to talk about it.
“I mean, I’m aware of people’s… of that size of interest and that world existing. It’s just not something I particularly care about, or have much interest in feeding, I guess, because the more it’s fed, the more you are opening a gate for intrusion.”
Swift has also been inked to The 1975 Matty Healy.
A source claimed that the star was blindsided by the alleged romance.
The insider told DailyMail.com: “Joe feels slighted and is distraught after seeing her budding relationship with Matt, but is doing his best to keep busy and focus on himself.”
