Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne is set to make Las Vegas his stage with a unique concert residency spanning two iconic venues, Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World Las Vegas and Drai’s Beachclub at The Cromwell.
Announced on June 17, the residency kicks off with performances at Drai’s Beachclub on June 29 and Zouk Nightclub on July 12, promising a mix of Lil Wayne’s classic hits and new music, as detailed in a press release. Tickets and table reservations are available through each venue’s website.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Lil Wayne to Zouk Las Vegas,” said Joe Lucas, vice president of Zouk, in a statement. “His dynamic performances and legendary status make him the perfect artist to launch this transformative residency. We look forward to providing an unparalleled nightlife experience for all to enjoy this monumental artist.”
Dustin Drai, president of Drai’s Management Group, expressed similar enthusiasm in a statement, noting, “We cannot wait to continue our longstanding relationship with Lil Wayne and have him return as a resident artist at Drai’s.”
Wayne, known for hits like “A Milli” and “Got Money,” has been actively touring this year with scheduled shows in North Dakota, Illinois, and Texas throughout the summer.
In a December 2023 interview with Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks, Lil Wayne shared his ambition to headline the Super Bowl halftime show when it returns to his hometown of New Orleans in 2025. “I want it just as bad as I wanted to see my name at the top of that list when I was whatever age it was that I would bust into that office and get that Billboard magazine,” he said.
Reflecting on his impact in Louisiana, Wayne highlighted his influence on local culture. “I know for a fact that when I do the Louisiana Fest, that there’s like, a trillion people. And being in front of my city and seeing that many people is amazing,” he remarked. “So to know that a Super Bowl would be… what?!”
