We’re just all about the behind the scenes of animation this week.
On June 27th, the Disney film Hercules celebrated the 19th anniversary of its release. To commemorate the occasion, Disney released a behind the scenes video showing a side-by-side comparison of the final musical sequence of the song “Zero to Hero” and the combination live action dance routine and hand drawn stills that served as the basis for what ultimately went into the movie. It’s pretty cool to see, especially if you aren’t familiar with how the animation process works, going from simple sketches to such a finely made product. You could even say it went from zero to… nope? Okay, too cheesy.
