Taylor Swift's 1989 sold about 1,287,000 copies in its first week, giving it the biggest first week of sales since 2002's The Eminem Show. Swift's reaction was to lip sync a verse from Kendrick Lamar's "Backseat Freestyle" about feeling amazing and driving a Maserati.
Though it seems off the cuff, Swift's team almost certainly ensured that her Instagram contained one of the cleaner verses from "Backstreet Freestyle." No doubt, many of Swift's fans would have raised an eyebrow about her wanting a penis as big as the Eiffel Tower.
Swift and Lamar's mutual admiration is well-documented. Lamar says he loves "Shake It Off," and even sang a few lines of it in an interview with The Fader.
