Ladies and gents, it’s that time of year again! The 2015 Emmy nominations have finally been released.
At a quick glance it would seem there is an even spread of nominees, but in reality “Game of Thrones” is up for the most nominations. “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” has had an amazing season and is up for quite a few awards as well
The Emmys are always great because you can see how well received, or disliked, your favorite show really is. My personal favorite, “New Girl”, unfortunately didn’t make the cut in any nominations this year, but I have some hope with “The Big Bang Theory”. If you were excited that the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” didn’t make the “Reality” nominations list, you weren’t the only one.
My favorite category is always “Lead Actress, Comedy” and I am quite excited about this year’s nominees: Lisa Kudrow, “The Comeback”; Lily Tomlin, “Grace And Frankie”; Amy Schumer, “Inside Amy Schumer”; Edie Falco, “Nurse Jackie”; Amy Poehler, “Parks And Recreation”; Julia Louis-Dreyfus, “Veep”.
I am torn between my classic favorite, Lily Tomlin, and the hilarious Amy Poehler. Lisa Kudrow is also a fabulous choice, can they all just win? You get an Emmy! And you get an Emmy! Everyone gets an Emmy! (Thank you Oprah!)
The 67th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on September 20th at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, and Andy Samberg will host the live telecast. What show or actor/actress didn’t get nominated that you are disappointed about? Have you made your guess list yet? Let us know with a comment below!
