It takes a lot of nerve to release a trailer for a fantasy movie right as everyone’s freaking out over “Star Wars,” but if any world can pull it off, it’s the one from “Harry Potter.”
A teaser has dropped for the long-awaited prequel “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” and we now have our first glimpse of Eddie Redmayne as the magical creatures expert Newt Scamander, who sought out magical creatures across five continents and eventually wrote the textbook that Harry Potter studied at Hogwarts.
We also see a woman approaching a council and fearfully telling them, “Yesterday a wizard entered New York with a case, a case full of magical creatures. And unfortunately some have escaped.”
If the shot of Newt opening the case to take a peek at the creatures is any clue, they probably escaped due to his curiosity getting the better of him.
Fans everywhere are freaking out, and J.K. Rowling herself is adding to the excitement.
Let’s hope the new movie can recapture the magic of the old ones - I’m still a bit scarred after that whole “Hobbit” trilogy experience.
