Futurama, Chris Hardwick jokes on the latest episode of The Nerdist, is the show that will never die. He’s not completely wrong! Look at it, it’s back! Back in podcast form! That’s right, super nerds, Futurama has returned as a special episode on the Nerdist network, produced under the idea of promoting the Futurama mobile game, World of Tomorrow, and guys, it’s fantastic. It’s as good as any episode of Futurama, and how could it not be? All the original voice actors are back! Billy West as Fry, Farnsworth, Zoidberg, Katey Sagal as Leela, Phil LaMarr as Hermes, Maurice LaMarche as Kif and Calculon, and of course John DiMaggio as Bender. The story concerns Bender trying to impress his dying mother with his podcast appearance, Chris Hardwick playing a villanious sound wave and Fry dissapointing Leela by forgetting she can’t see in 3D. It’s really fun.
