It’s finally here – the day when “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and the constant promotional coverage might be drawing to a close (at least until the next movie).

Gosh, what are we even going to cover for What’s Trending anymore? More cat videos I guess.

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere was last night in Hollywood, and by all accounts, it was a complete blowout spectacle to remember. The premiere reportedly had more security than the Oscars and was screened in three different theaters along Hollywood Boulevard.

In attendance were George Lucas and Steven Spielberg seated together, Joseph Gordon-Levitt dressed as Yoda, Rainn Wilson dressed as a Jedi and his son Walter as Boba Fett. It was basically a cosplay extravaganza.

Initial reactions so far have been very positive. Official reviews are embargoed until tomorrow and many of us won’t see this movie until the weekend, so it’s probably a good idea to steer clear of social media until then; but for fans worried that “The Force Awakens” would go the way of “The Phantom Menace,” this is reassuring news.

Have you seen the movie yet? Let us know what you think – but be considerate and don’t post spoilers!
