YouTubers Make Homemade Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream With Liquid Nitrogen

Last time we checked in with CrazyRussianHacker, he was dropping dry ice into slime and laughing maniacally while doing it. And Furious Pete stopped by not long ago to tell us all about his awesome book. Now, the two have teamed up to make a video that brightened all our days.

    Dippin’ Dots is a novelty brand of ice cream that answers the question, “what if ice cream was actually tiny frozen spheres?” Their process is pretty simple: flash freeze little globes of ice cream in liquid nitrogen and keep it at ultra-low temperatures so that it won’t melt. Seems simple enough, right? Well, Crazy Russian Hacker and Furious Pete decided to test out their own homemade Dippin’ Dots recipe by squirting bits of melted ice cream into liquid nitrogen, then fishing it out and eating it.
