  • New Mexico’s governmor Gary Johnson has officially entered the GOP Presidential ring. The libertarian — who’s pro-choice, pro-marijuana and anti-government — might not have been popular with the party (and only got four minutes of airtime), but he had a clear message that he was ready to balance the budget and cut federal spending.

But, unfortunately for Johnson, it’s one joke he made that’s getting all the attention. His most noteworthy statement — “My next-door neighbor’s two dogs have created more shovel-ready jobs than this president” — gained a lot of laughs, but apparently he was just repeating someone else’s words: Rush Limbaugh said the statement on his radio show.

  • “I guess I’ve become show prep for the GOP debates now, too,” Limbaugh told The Huffington Post in an email. Limbaugh said he thought he used the line yesterday, “but the days run together, so I’m not really sure.”

Johnson defended himself on Twitter and credited Limbaugh for the joke.

  • Will Gary Johnson only be remembered for being a joke stealer?
