After two years of wedded bliss (or 10 Kardashian marriages), Zooey Deschanel has separated from Death Cab for Cutie lead singer Ben Gibbard. According to Us Weekly the divorce was, “mutual and amicable.”
Searches on Google have been high for the actress/singer recently peaking at #7 on Google Trends last night when news of her divorce dropped.
More positively, Deschanel has been trending recently for her freshman show New Girl and her performance of the National Anthem at Game 4 of the World Series. Although ratings from her sitcom are down since premiering, the decline is equal to that of Glee and was described by FOX as, “normal post-baseball declines.”
