Twitter has been growing in importance in elections since 2008 and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. All four of the major GOP candidates have serious Twitter accounts and are using them in ways no one could have predicted just a few years ago. I spent some time analyzing how they’re doing on a variety of criteria, including followers, retweets and mentions. I also looked at the two next primary states, South Carolina and Florida to see how their Twitter accounts may be helping them win.
