What’s Trending broadcasted live all afternoon from SXSW 2012 and we finished up the day with this fantastic live show. Shira was joined by blogger and MSNBC correspondent Meghan McCain and Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live Andy Cohen where they talked about creating digital brands, working for your parents, playing drinking games on tv.
When asked about the impact her blogging had, Meghan McCain talked about how it actually got her in trouble with her father’s campaign, “I actually got kicked off my father’s campaign toward the end. They couldn’t shut down my site because it had too much traffic and they thought it would have been a bigger incident.”
Andy told us that he thought he was the “first network executive to blog every day on the network’s website and that was a way to interact with our audience to find out what they did and didn’t like on our shows.”
