Doomheads Rejoice! Invader Zim Returns as 90 Minute Movie!

Doom doom doom...

  • Friends, if I may be personal for a minute — all your Arrested Development revivals, all your Veronica Mars movies — they're meaningless to me. Absolutely meaningless compared to the greatest revival of them all — that of spooky aughts mainstay — Invader Zim. Nickelodeon's Invader Zim was this weird and creepy little cartoon masterpiece following the adventures of the tiny little Irken alien Zim as he attempts to take over Earth despite the terrible plans that are his bread and butter.

Series creator Jhonen Vasquez is back, writing the film, and voice actors Richard Steven Horvitz, Rikki Simmons, Andy Berman and Melissa Fahn as Zim, Gir, Dib and Gaz respectively. The Invader Zim movie follows in the footsteps of Nickelodeon's upcoming Hey Arnold movie as the ressurect some of their beloved properties for the newer generation.

Are you excited for this no doubt brilliant masterpiece soon to come? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
