A video of Washington State legislator Maureen Walsh giving an impassioned speech for equal rights is making the rounds on Youtube (Washington state recently recognized gay marriage).
Walsh, who admits she has a gay daughter, said, that some day, “I want to throw a wedding for that kid. And, I hope that’s exactly what I can do. I hope she will not feel like a second class citizen, involved in something called a ‘domestic partnership,’ which frankly sounds like a Marry Maids franchise to me.”
