Service Dog Helps Woman Through Asperger’s Episode

For some people, a pet’s loyalty is necessary to get through the day. YouTuber Danielle Jacobs has Asperger syndrome, and she made the brave decision to film herself going through an episode to show how important her dog Samson is to her.

“This is what having aspergers is like,” she wrote in the video description. “This is what’s considered a meltdown.”

The video shows her sobbing and hitting herself, but Samson quickly responds, comforting her and keeping her from self-harm until she calms down. It can be difficult to watch, but it’s ultimately heartwarming, and a reminder that service animals can be crucial for people with disabilities.
