HowToBasic is a very… odd YouTube channel. And by basic, we don’t mean basic white girl. HowToBasic attempts to teach you things, but it never does so successfully. At least in this video, the creator isn’t doing confusing things to a watermelon.
The video starts off like most how to videos nowadays – a simple setup of necessities. To remove a stain from your couch, you supposedly need a cup of baking soda, a cup of rock salt, and a cup of apple cider vinegar. You’ll also need a microfiber cloth and boiling water, as well as a spray bottle.
The video then goes to the removal part – spraying the affected area with the solution, then placing the microfiber cloth down before spraying it. And then it gets really weird.
Instead of fully removing the stain, HowToBasic makes it worse. He smashes things and splashes things and throws things onto the couch, making it entirely stained. This is before draining lighter fluid onto the couch and burning it to the ground.
And that’s how you remove stains from your sofa!
