When Ben Affleck — failed Daredevil but also Academy Award Winner — first was announced to play batman, the news was controversial to say the least — and the films he’s produced since have been a little bit, how shall we say — not good. Ben Affleck played Batman so far in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad — two films which have been met with absolute annoyance by many.
Professionally — rumors have been stirring around Affleck quitting the role in February, but now reportedly, Warner Bros also wants him out following difficulties during the pre production of the stand alone Batman movie — with Affleck dropping out of direction, and his replacement Matt Reeves throwing away his script. Will Affleck be leaving Batman? How will Superman feel? Does this mean Superman won? Is Jared Leto’s Joker sticking around for good or nah? Also, what is going on with the DC films, why have they so consistently been a problem? Guys! It’s Superman! It’s Batman! It’s the simplest characters on Earth! Guys! Come on!
As long as Will Arnett continues to play Lego Batman, I’m good.
