So how did this meme start?
For those of you out there who didn’t know, the Elf on the Shelf is a relatively new Christmas-time tradition. Based on the 2005 book of the same name, The Elf on the Shelf is a toy elf who sits on a shelf throughout December to act as Santa’s eyes and ears. At night, the elf moves from his seat on the shelf, and the kids must find him so their parents can return the elf to his usual spot.
The Elf On The Shelf is a fun, family tradition!
