  • I don’t know if you follow sweet merger news carefully, but there’s been rumblings of a big one — one about Disney acquiring all of 21st Century Fox’s (formerly 20th Century Fox’s) properties. There are a lot of amazing ones in there, but the most noteworthy one would have to be the Marvel characters currently owned by Fox. That includes The Fantastic Four, that includes the X-Men and of course that includes the internet and sweaty nerds’ (I use that term with love) champion extraordinaire, Deadpool.

  • Now there’s a few things we know about Deadpool. We know he’s rude. We know he’s got tude. And we know both of those things are a little racey for the usual Disney audience, so who could blame Ryan Reynolds for wondering just exactly what Disney would do with the Deadpool property. Disney is after all also known for three things — being a vast capitalist machine eating up all the properties it sees, for some reason still using Song of the South characters in one of its most popular rides, and fine family entertainment. So Mr. Reynolds wondered… he wondered… what would the House of Mouse do with the House of Mouth (which is what I assume Deadpool will someday be called if he becomes a house). And folks, the Tweets poured in.
