  • If you’re an only child — or have never experienced living with a roommate — living with someone of the opposite gender (or just another person, in general) can be a bit of a culture shock.

Coming from someone who has three siblings and has experienced the good, the bad and the ugly in college roommates, I can definitely relate to Twitter user Roberto Carlos (@TheUniverseMan).

Roberto, recently, had the pleasure of rooming with all girls for one week, and made some interesting observations. When I say “some,” I don’t mean one or two — Carlos shared a whopping 32 observations on Twitter for us all to enjoy. Here’s a quick rundown of some of my favorites!

  • Listen. Girls have a lot of hair, and it — occasionally — falls out when we’re in the shower. Sticking it on the wall is just super convenient, okay? And, it’s also fun to play with when we get bored in the shower.

  • This is arguably the best part of the night. But, don’t think just because we stayed up all night talking the conversation is over. We’ll most likely continue to talk about the boys and burgers the next day.

  • Oh, Roberto. It shouldn’t have taken you rooming with girls for a week to figure this out. Girls are always going to be late. Word of advice from my boyfriend — pick the time, but tell the girls to be ready 2 hours earlier. Even when they’re “late,” you’ll still be on time.

  • This isn’t just part of the getting ready process. We usually say this every single day.

  • I don’t know what it is, but I always get the urge to test beauty products on my boyfriend. “Babe. Can I pluck your eyebrows? Can I put eyeshadow on you? Come on. It’ll be funny!”
