  • A restraining order has been filed by restaurant chain In-N-Out against YouTuber Troll Munchies.

According to a lawsuit filed in Superior Court, Troll Munchies (Cody Roeder) caused disruptions in two In-N-Out locations in the San Fernando Valley. He pretended to be the company’s new CEO John Trollston, “loudly argued with employees and in one instance took a hamburger from a customer, threw it to the ground and stepped on it, claiming it was ‘garbage.’”

According to the Orange County Register, Roeder’s yelling failed to elicit any reaction from employees, which is when he approached the “customer” plant to trash his burger.

The lawsuit is asking for a restraining order against Roeder, $25,000 in damages, and $1,000 for each additional violation of the order. In a statement, In-N-Out EVP Arnie Wensinger said, “We have recently seen an increase of visitors to our stores, who are not customers but instead are intentionally disruptive and who then try to promote themselves through social media. These visitors have unfortunately used deceit, fraud, and trespass to their own advantage, and in each instance, they have attempted to humiliate, offend, or otherwise make our customers or associates uncomfortable.”

Roeder has also apparently carried out similar pranks at Taco Bell and Ralph’s. The In-N-Out videos were posted in mid-March but have since been removed, as have promotional tweets about the content.

Roeder has not yet commented on the lawsuit and he did not respond to the Orange County Register’s request for a comment.

$25,000 would be bad enough, but honestly, being banned for life from In-N-Out Burger might be even worse.
