On April 20th, 2018, Swedish DJ Tim Bergling, famously known as ‘Avicii’, passed away. He was 28 years old.
His publicist, Diana Barron, issued a statement, saying —
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”
Cause of death has yet to be made public.
Avicii is best known for being one of the most popular acts in EDM, and his two albums — “Stories” and “True” — are beloved. Two of his songs, “Levels” and “Wake Me Up”, are absolute modern classics.
