  • Over the weekend every Marvel fan was treated to an event about a decade in the making — Avengers: Infinity War! At long last, we got to see each and every Marvel hero cross over with each other — Dr. Strange met Spider-Man, Groot met Thor, Black Panther met the Hulk, Gamora met Tobias Funkë, and — wait, what?

  • Eagle-eyed viewers waiting patiently for the Marvel post-credits sequence were treated to a thank you to Fox for letting the film use a character from the hit aughts show where Infinity Wars’ directors, The Russo Brothers, made a notable mark, and even more eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed a very special prize in The Collectors’ er — collection. A blue man in cut off jean shorts that many fans will recognize as that never nude made famous by David Cross, Tobias Funkë. They didn’t get David Cross for the shoot, but why would they? It’s a species. There are dozens of them, friends. Dozens! That was an Arrested Development reference — let’s move on.

This isn’t the first time that the Russos planted an Arrested Development “easter egg,” however. In Captain American: Civil War, their last movie, we all got a sight of the Bluth’s famous stair car parked out in the big airport fight scene.
