Actress and television host Drew Barrymore turns 48 years old today. Her career in Hollywood began when she was a child and appeared in several films, including E.T. and Firestarter. Badgley’s character Joe Goldberg locks his victims in a glass box meant to preserve old books, and today, Barrymore was blindfolded and surprised by her own box.

Kelly has been outspoken regarding his anxiety and history of addiction. As Barrymore endured similar struggles at a young age, she was able to calm his nerves and have a powerful conversation with him. To balance out the serious elements of the show, Barrymore has also hosted guests who dish about their dating lives. Jennifer Grey, famously of Dirty Dancing, revealed on the show that she was engaged to actors Matthew Broderick and Johnny Depp in the same month many years ago.
