Sabrina Carpenter Literally Makes Her Own Man in New Pringles Ad

Sabrina Carpenter has had enough of man-children. In Pringles’ new Super Bowl 60 commercial, the pop star solves the problem the only logical way possible: she builds her own boyfriend out of potato chips.

In the spot, released Thursday, Sabrina Carpenter opens by declaring she is “so tired of boys” before holding up a can of Pringles. That is when the brand’s mustachioed mascot, Julius Pringle, whispers a single directive from the tin: “Build him.”

What follows is “Pringleleo,” a fully constructed partner made entirely of stacked chips. Carpenter dates him, road-trips with him, lounges in bed with him, and casually eats pieces of him along the way. The fantasy lasts until she brings Pringleleo to a red carpet event, where he is promptly tackled by fans and reduced to what he always was: a salty snack.

The 30-second ad, created by BBDO NY, will air during the third quarter of Super Bowl 60 on Feb. 8. A 60-second extended cut was also released online.

The spot leans into Carpenter’s pop persona with a wink, pairing rom-com tropes with absurdity and a light jab at modern dating fatigue. It also marks Pringles’ ninth consecutive Super Bowl appearance. Last year, the brand featured Nick Offerman, Adam Brody, James Harden, and Andy Reid in a mustache-driven campaign.

The commercial is part of Pringles’ broader brand push, “Once You Pop, The Pop Don’t Stop,” with extensions across social, digital, PR, and in-store marketing. As for Carpenter’s ideal man, he may not last long, but at least he comes with seasoning.
