Adobe, Fox and the Interactive Advertising Bureau are the latest names joining AI Creator Day, the inaugural summit What’s Trending is co-hosting with TheWrap on Sept. 29 at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles. Also on the lineup are 11:11 Media, Fairground Entertainment and pocket.watch, across a day of conversations, workshops, live demos and creator showcases.
The event kicks off TheGrill, TheWrap’s flagship business and technology conference, running the following day at the DGA.
The panel creators should watch takes on provenance. Platforms are under pressure to label AI-generated media, and creators are already seeing their own original work mislabeled, which pulls authorship, consent, ownership and compensation into the same fight. Karen Robinson, senior vice president and deputy general counsel at Adobe Inc., James Douglas, vice president of the Experience Center for Creator Economy and Gaming at IAB, and Rebecca Grone, head of impact at 11:11 Media, will dig into what platforms and AI companies owe creators and how to protect human work without shutting down experimentation. Shira Lazar, host and co-founder of What’s Trending, moderates.
Jon Flynn, head of FoxNXT, Fox Entertainment’s next-generation production division, will talk about upskilling artists and production teams on new tools while keeping human judgment at the center. Chris M. Williams, founder and CEO of pocket.watch, joins Colin Petrie-Norris, founder and CEO of Fairground, on how creator libraries and AI-native content make the jump from phones to the biggest screen in the house.
Wispr Flow signs on as official voice partner. Sponsors include Artlist, Cantina, Fairground Entertainment, pocket.watch, United Talent Agency and Wispr Flow. More speakers and programming are coming in the weeks ahead.
Tickets and sponsorship information are available at thewrap.com/aicreatorday. A paid ticket to TheGrill, where WrapPRO subscribers receive 30% off, includes access to AI Creator Day.
