New details have emerged leading up to the hours of Amanda Bynes being placed under emergency medical supervision

As first reported by TMZ, the 36-year-old actress was placed on a psychiatric hold after she was found roaming downtown Los Angeles, CA naked. The event, which happened on Sunday, details Bynes flagging down a car and telling the driver that she was coming down from a psychotic episode before calling 911 on herself.

The shocking situation comes after a small outing with a friend on St. Patrick’s Day Friday evening. According to ET, Bynes “walked by Palmas Smoke Shop in Los Angeles, on Friday night… with a friend.”

“Every Friday night, the shop puts on a hip-hop show, so she saw the party,” the eyewitness says. “Amanda and her friend didn’t hang out for too long. She was noticeable because of her face tattoo.”

“It seemed as though Amanda and her friend had been at a bar on the street earlier. She seemed like she was in a good mood and just having fun celebrating St. Patrick’s Day,” the eyewitness states. “There didn’t appear to be any issues at all.”

One TikToker, KaitlynHotFox, shared a video showcasing Bynes walking around in Hollywood. The user stated “I saw my girl walking and I had to say what’s up?” as Bynes held onto her arm.

The post read, “Happy shes getting the help she needs. she was sweet, gave her some money and talked. sometime ppl just sb to talk to.”

The childhood actress was placed under a conservatorship with her mother Lynn Bynes back in 2013. During this time, Bynes had several run ins with the police and was also placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold.

In the past, the star admitted that she was “on drugs” and tweeted that she had even been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Back in 2022, a court ended the longtime conservatorship places on the “Amanda Show” star. After Bynes “provided facts that the conservatorship is no longer needed” to the court, the family supported the move.

“We’re all excited and we’re all anxiously looking forward to Amanda living a life as a private and normal citizen,” Bynes’ lawyer, David A. Esquibias, told ET at the time. “Ms. Bynes’ parents have both been very supportive throughout the entire conservatorship, and have helped her work towards a positive transition into the real world, which was the goal from the beginning of the legal arrangement.”

At the time, Bynes stated “In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter. I am excited about my upcoming endeavors, including my fragrance line, and look forward to sharing more when I can.”
