Actor Angus Cloud died at the age of 25 in July. Now, the actor’s official cause of death was revealed to be an accidental drug overdose. Autopsy reports found a lethal mix of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine and benzodiazepines, the Alameda County Coroners office confirmed in a statement.
Cloud passed at his family’s residence in Oakland, California. His mother confirmed that he had been struggling to process his late father’s recent death. The actor was reportedly very close with his father.
Cloud’s Legacy
The actor made his television debut as “Fez” Fezco O’Neill in the gritty HBO hit series “Euphoria,” where he played a complex drug dealer working to make ends meet for his grandmother and younger brother, while protecting his friend Rue from addiction. Cloud starred in the controversial yet acclaimed series alongside Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, and more.
Cloud was an Oakland, California native, and was famously cast off the street at his serving job in Brooklyn, New York, for the popular show. His acting role gave way to modeling contracts with luxury fashion houses, and several untitled projects slated for a 2024 release. The actor’s family released a statement regarding his passing in July.
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways,” the statement to TMZ read.
“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”
