Amid recent revelations that pop star-actress Ariana Grande began dating actor Ethan Slater on the set of “Wicked” amid her divorce from Dalton Gomez and during his marriage to high school sweetheart Lily Jay, further allegations are circulating on social media. Grande and soon-to-be ex-husband Dalton Gomez allegedly went on double dates with Slater and Jay, prior to their separations from their respective spouses.

While neither Slater nor Grande have commented on their alleged relationship, Jay previously gave a statement to Page Six that appeared to confirm her separation from Slater was due to the relationship with Grande. Grande was married to luxury real estate broker Dalton Gomez for two years. Slater was married to Jay for four years, and had been in a relationship with her for a decade. The couple share a child, born last year.

The allegations came from an anonymous source who told The Daily Mail that they worked on the set of “Wicked.”

Internet Reactions

Fans of Grande accused Page Six of being biased against Grande in their reporting. The site was first to print an exclusive from Slater’s soon-to-be ex wife.

The singer’s most recent alleged infidelity has fans racing to combat claims of Grande being a serial home wrecker. Others point to several of her previous high profile relationships, many of which the singer referenced directly in her hit song “thank u, next.”

Others argued that the press needs to drop the issue, and that the public should not know this many details of celebrities’ personal lives outside of their work.

Rumors continue to circulate that Grande allegedly broke up Rikki Valentine and Christian Fortune while she starred in Nickelodeon’s “Victorious”, Pete Davidson and Cazzie David, Big Sean and Naya Rivera, and more.

Others argue that the internet ought to lay the story to rest, as Slater’s wife and young child are now involved.

Grande’s track “break up with ur girlfriend, i’m bored” has not escaped the recent conversation surrounding the singer-actress. Many feel that the track alluded to her alleged pattern in relationships. Elsewhere, a clip of Slater on “Law and Order: SVU” has resurfaced, with some sensing that the timing of its reruns is uncanny.

Elsewhere, some referenced an iconic scene from “Sex and the City” in relation to the situation. In the scene, Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones has broken up a marriage, and no longer wants to be in a relationship with the husband.

No other cast members of the upcoming live-action “Wicked” have spoken on the relationship at this time. Both Slater and Grande continue to go through divorce proceedings from their respective spouses.
