After getting engaged in September 2021, Britney Spears and Sam Ashghari officially married at their home in Los Angeles. In attendance were iconic stars like Madonna, Selena Gomez, and Paris Hilton. According to People, she wore three different outfits during the wedding. Donatella Versace, who she confirmed was the designer behind her stunning wedding dress, was also in attendance. Although there was a bit of chaos, with her ex-husband Jason Alexender who she married for 55 hours in 2004 breaking into the wedding and trespassing, many were excited to celebrate the two’s wedding, especially since she had been denied this when she was in her conservatorship.

According to reports, Alexander was taken into custody quite quickly, and Spears definitely did not let it bug her or disrupt her big day. Many members of Spears’ family were not invited, including her father and her sister, which is unsurprising since Spears has been incredibly vocal about their involvement in her oppressive conservatorship. Spears also walked herself down the aisle, crying happy tears at some moments during the wedding. She looked incredibly stunning, which almost every guest reiterated when asked about the wedding.

After Spears was freed from her conservatorship, many were excited to see her be able to do the things she was prohibited from doing, which is why the internet loved celebrating her. And although she did not seem to be bothered by her ex-husband attempting to get inside the wedding many online discussed how it represented the treatment she has had over the span of the years she has spent in the public’s eyes. “I don’t think there’s anything Britney Spears has done in her life that could warrant the kind of harassment and mistreatment she’s been subjected to from these people,” one person commented.
