Britney Spears Memoir ‘The Woman in Me’ Set to Release This October

Britney Spears has officially unveiled the cover of her memoir. The pop star announced she is releasing her high-anticipated book in October and it’s being called the “publishing event of the year.”

Britney Spears officially announced her memoir “The Woman in Me” will be set to release on October 24th.

The “Toxic” singer confirmed the exciting news on her Instagram Story sharing the announcement to the entire world.

The memoir “The Woman in Me” will officially be published by none other than Gallery Book, a Simon and Schuster imprint. A new site titled “britneybook.com” was also launched alongside the announcement.

The site also gives details on what many can expect for the release.

The website states, ‘The Woman in Me’ is a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.”

And Jennifer Bergstrom, Gallery Books senior vice president and publisher, told People Magazine this would be one unforgettable story.

Bergstrom stated, “Britney’s compelling testimony in open court shook the world, changed laws, and showed her inspiring strength and bravery. I have no doubt her memoir will have a similar impact — and will be the publishing event of the year. We couldn’t be more proud to help her share her story at last.”

Back in April of 2022, Spears revealed the news in an Instagram post that she was indeed writing the book.

The star posted in a now deleted Instagram post, “Well I’m writing a book at the moment and it’s actually healing and therapeutic … it’s also hard bringing up past events in my life. I’ve never been able to express openly!!! I can only imagine that I do sound childish but I was extremely young with those events took place.”

Spears previously co-authored the 2000 autobiography titled “Britney Spears’ Heart to Heart,” and in 2001 a young adult novel titled “A Mother’s Gift” with her mother Lynne Spears. There has been no details if the star will be doing a press tour on the book or if she has any other announcements in store for the memoir.

As of late, there have been rumors that Spears and Will.I.am are planning a ‘surprise’ reunion on a new single.

A source told the Sun, “Will has long been Britney’s No. 1 supporter and he wants to see her succeed. Both of them are excited to be releasing this surprise track and they know fans will love it.”
