Cardi B’s mic toss took social media by storm with many wondering what really happened. And now the singer is suspected of battery.
In a now-viral video shared on social media, Cari B was seen retaliating after a concert goer standing at the edge of stage tossed her drink at the rapper. And after seeing many angles of the situation thanks to TikTok and a new charge involved, users are chiming in. Cardi B threw her microphone on stage when it seemed like a fan threw her drink on the rapper.
This was the latest of concert mishaps of fans throwing things at artists, and Cardi took the matter into her own hands.
A man was charged with assault after hitting Bebe Rexha with a phone, Kelsea Ballererni was hit with a bracelet, and Ava Max was slapped by a fan on stage all within the period of a month.
Adele recently took the stage joking fans that she was ready for anything.
But viewing another angle of the incident, viewers are feeling mixed on the situation. In reports from multiple outlets, the artist claimed to “throw water at her” because of the heat in Las Vegas. Some believe the fan simply followed orders from the singer.
And according to a new report, Cardi B is potentially facing battery charges.
On Sunday, the day after the incident, one of the two girls hit by the microphone filed a police report with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The woman told the police that she had been struck by an item, known as the microphone, thrown from stage. Cardi B reshared a post from a fan account saying the audience member “deserved it” shortly after the incident.
There has been no official word if the charges will go through. Cardi B has not released an official statement on the event. There has also been no word if additional charges will be filed.
