ABC and Dick Clark Productions have unveiled the highly anticipated lineup for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025, the nation’s most-watched New Year’s Eve celebration. The show will air live from New York’s Times Square on Tuesday, December 31, beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST. For the first time, fans can also stream the event the following day on Hulu.

Marking his 20th year as host, Ryan Seacrest will be joined by co-host Rita Ora to lead the festivities, which will include performances from a diverse roster of musical talent, including country superstar Carrie Underwood, emerging country artist Megan Moroney, and British pop icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

As the clock counts down to midnight, Underwood will take the Times Square stage for an electrifying live performance, celebrating 20 years since her American Idol victory in 2005. This will be Underwood’s third appearance on the iconic New Year’s Eve special, following previous performances in 2007 and 2015.

Underwood shared her excitement about the performance: “I have such fun memories of performing on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Times Square in both 2007 and 2015, and I’m so excited to perform just before the ball drops again this year. I’m thrilled to celebrate 20 years since winning American Idol by joining Ryan as he hosts his 20th New Year’s Eve in Times Square.”

A Star-Studded Lineup for Times Square

Carrie Underwood’s performance will be a highlight of the night, with the eight-time Grammy Award winner performing a medley of her biggest hits live, just moments before the iconic ball drops in Times Square.

Rising country star Megan Moroney will also take the stage, marking a significant milestone in her career. After a breakout year that included the release of her second album, Am I Okay?, Moroney will perform a two-song medley. Her album, which debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, marked her first Top 10 debut on the Billboard 200. Moroney spent much of 2024 on tour with country legend Kenny Chesney, playing to packed stadiums across the United States.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor, the British pop sensation, will make her debut performance on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, singing her Platinum-certified hit “Murder on the Dancefloor.” The track, originally released over 20 years ago, saw a resurgence in 2024, thanks in part to its prominent feature in the film Saltburn. The song’s renewed popularity has propelled it to the top of global music charts and marked its first-ever appearance on U.S. charts.
