In a recent TikTok, a creator, who goes by Skella, shows that maintenance men were making fun of her house and even recording it when they were supposed to be doing work on her house. As they were chatting and making fun of her for being a “crazy lesbian cat lady” they did not realize that there were hidden cameras that Skella had access to recording the entire thing.

Many found it to be a step too far that the person even began recording, showing off personal items, and continued to make fun of it. Though the jokes might have been harmless, albeit rude, the jokes made fun of her for being gay and many thought it was inappropriate that the men were recording and taking photos of her belongings. The creator even confronted the man, to which he said that he was not being homophobic and that his niece was gay, which is why he was making the jokes that he was.

The man explained that his “late best friend was a cat lady” and that his niece was a lesbian, so the comments were meant to be “endearing.” Skella showed this message, noting with sarcasm that this was “indefensible evidence” that the man did not mean any offense to her, her sexuality, or privacy. When people asked how she would act from here, like suing, she noted in another video that she would not be taking any legal action.

Skella explains the fact that the person who was making fun of her house is the owner of the company, and that she did not want to pursue getting him fired, as she thought this would require more time and energy than would be worth it. Many encouraged her to write a review for the company so that others would be warned as well. Others encouraged her to give TikTok the name of the company so that they could write reviews, but Skella did not pursue this either. It seems that she is deciding to let it roll off her back, despite many’s suggestions to go with legal options, as it was filming in a private residence.
