  • Ryan Lochte was once America’s favorite big dumb jock. He played a “sex idiot” on 30 Rock. He had his own E! reality series. Oh yeah, and he won a bunch of Olympic medals. But after #LochteGate and the ensuing thinkpieces (ours included), he’s persona non grata — boy who cried wolf, ugly American, and beacon of white male privilege, all rolled into one.

What better time to make fun of him? The Gregory Brothers know a comedy target when they see one, and this time they really nailed him to the wall. Their song, “Drunk Frat Boy,” cuts together some of the most damning parts of the interview Lochte gave to Matt Lauer to apologize-but-not-really, and throws in Al Roker’s heated response and some original tunes, too.

The three best parts of the video: 1. “tantics” (not a word), 2. the surprise appearance by YouTube crooner Roomie, and 3. just how solid the rhyme scheme is in the chorus. How many times do you get to hear someone organically rhyme intoxicated with over-exaggerated outside of an Aesop Rock song?

BONUS: Stephen Colbert also had a hilarious take on the Lochte interview, inserting himself in Matt Lauer’s position and asking the questions we all want answered. Check it out below:
