Actor Max Ehrich was previously engaged to singer and actress Demi Lovato in 2020 after four months of dating. Two months later, the engagement was called off, with Ehrich allegedly staging paparazzi photos of himself crying on a beach. Now, three years down the line, Lovato is engaged to Canadian musician Jutes after a year of dating. Amid the news of this engagement, Ehrich allegedly shared a cryptic Instagram post claiming that he is Lovato’s “one true love” and that their relationship only ended because he was “prevented from speaking to her.”

The series of posts comparing his ring to Jutes’ ring, images of Ehrich crying, and lengthy captions about the nature of their relationship, came from an account called @maxmusicehrich on Instagram. Ehrich maintains a verified Instagram account on which he most recently promoted his music, and it remains unclear if this account is actually attached to Ehrich or another individual with intent to harass Lovato.

Jutes is a fellow musician who was previously signed to Capitol Records, and now records independently. He has cowritten a number of Lovato’s most recent tracks, and has been outspoken about his own mental health and sobriety journey, something that himself and Lovato have reportedly bonded over. As fans of Lovato continue to defend her on X and Instagram, the question of who is really behind the troubling Max Ehrich posts lingers.

Ehrich is yet to address the serious harassment and stalking allegations that continue to arise surrounding himself. However, despite the confusion surrounding who maintains ownership of the now viral Instagram account, many point back to the beach paparazzi incident as a theory that perhaps this really could be the actor.

Beachgate

Following the news of the breakup in 2020, Ehrich was seen dramatically crying at the beach spot in which he proposed to Lovato in. In the years since the breakup, the actor has predominantly only remained in the public eye to discuss his professional pursuits.

Amid the viral beach photos, sources came forward alleging that Ehrich was “not leaving Lovato alone” and had attempted to reach her through her family members and lawyers many times. This history in mind, some feel that the new posts coming for Lovato’s new relationship with Jutes could very well be directly from the source.

The actor is yet to confirm or deny if he is the one posting the content that appears to take aim at Lovato’s engagement to Jutes.
