Social media superstar Dixie D’Amelio has recently responded to rumors of a collab with popstar Olivia Rodrigo.
Dixie D’Amelio is one of the biggest creators on the internet with over 57 million followers on TikTok with an added 25 million on Instagram. In addition to D’Amelio’s social media career, she has also had an immense amount of success in the music industry.
Rodrigo on the other hand originally started her career as an actor with growing popularity on shows like Bizaardvark and High School Musical.
In an interview uploaded to YouTube on March 3rd by Extra, D’Amelio opened up about her friendship with Rodrigo:
“I mean, we’ve just like, met a couple times and were like, ‘we’re the same age, we do similar things, what’s up?’ I mean that’s pretty much it, that’s how I make friends nowadays, I don’t know, nothing too crazy,” the TikToker said.
When asked about whether the duo have thought about collaborating, D’Amelio responded with, “definitely not. I try to keep my friendships, friendships, and not business transactions as much. I think everyone I work with, it’s like, real, and that’s what I want it to be. But the friends that I have, we never talk about it unless it happens. Everything that happens, it happens on accident. And I think that’s perfect.”

It looks like the D’Amelio won’t be collaborating with Rodrigo anytime soon, but this could change in the near future as the star is set to go on tour with the band Big Time Rush in late 2022.
