It looks like Ethan Slater, Ariana Grande’s new man, will be starring in the upcoming Spamalot revival that was recently announced.
“Hear ye, here ye! Ethan Slater joins the Broadway cast of Spamalot as The Historian/Prince Herbert,” the production wrote on Instagram.
The announcement came on Wednesday as the principal cast, including 31-year-old Slater, who will star in the musical as the dual role of The Historian/Prince Herbet.

The show revealed others in the cast including Christopher Fitzgerald as Patsy, James Monroe Iglehart as King Arthur, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer as the Lady of the Lake. Jimmy Smagula as Sir Bedeverem, Michael Urie as Sir Robin, and Nik Walker as Sir Galahad.
The announcement comes shortly after the actor was spotted in New York City amid romance with Ariana Grande and his divorce from Lilly Jay.
A source told PEOPLE in July that the actor and Grande, 30, are “full-on dating” after filming Wicked together earlier this year.

Before the role in Spamalot, Slater made his role debut originating the role of Spongebob Squarepants in Spongebob Squarepants, the Broadway Musical back in 2017.
Slater received a 2018 Tony Award nomination for his performance, even though Tony Shalhous won for his role in The Band’s Visit.
“I’m thrilled to see Spamalot back on Broadway,” Monty Python member Eric Idle, who wrote the lyrics and book for the production, told multiple outlets last Wednesday. “More than ever, it seems we need a good laugh and it’s inspiring to see audiences still embracing this, the most happy of shows I have ever worked on.”
“So put the News Cycle on Rinse Cycle, and take a couple of hours to relax with the Lady of the Lake, King Arthur, and the Knights Who Say Ni because we’re not dead yet,” Idle, 80, added in the statement.
Grande and Slater have not made any public comment regarding their relationship, but there are reports the two are taking things slow and ‘still progressing’ as she gives him ‘some space.’

Grande is still giving Slater “space” to figure out his way forward co-parenting with Jay, the source said: “[She’s] trying to give Ethan some space as he figures everything out [but] their relationship is still progressing.” The source did not detail how exactly it was progressing, but the insider did address Slater’s discussions with Jay.

“Ethan is trying to be as amicable as possible with Lilly as he navigates his next steps,” the source said. “He wants to be the best dad he can be, regardless of the current circumstances. He is taking things day by day and trying to keep his private life private, out of respect for everyone involved.”
