Post-date, fans picked up on a sweet parallel between the alleged burgeoning couple. At the beginning of each game, Kelce tends to gesture as if he is an archer, in homage to his team’s name and Arrowhead Stadium. Swift performs the same gesture while singing “The Archer” during her “The Eras Tour.”

Additionally, Kelce appeared to don an ensemble named after Swift’s soon to be re-released album “1989,” which also happens to be the year they were both born.

The Friendship Bracelet Fumble
Kelce has rapidly found fame as an NFL star in his own right, gaining new fans for the “New Heights” podcast he shares with his brother and fellow NFL star Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles. A few months ago, his home stadium of Arrowhead was converted to a concert venue in the city for Swift’s tour, and the singer left a lasting impression on the NFL tight end.
The Kelce brothers recounted Travis becoming enchanted with Swift, and getting creative with trying to get her attention. The NFL star admitted that he attempted to hand Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it.
The friendship bracelets have become a big part of Swift’s tour experiences, and refer to a lyric from her song “You’re On Your Own Kid,” in which she sings “make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.” Kelce was following “Eras” etiquette and tried to get creative, but his message was at first lost in translation. The football star revealed his unique bracelet design on the “New Heights” podcast, to his brother’s amusement.

When news of his attempt to make contact first broke, fans encouraged Swift to get in touch with Kelce. The singer-songwriter was most recently allegedly in a brief relationship with controversial the 1975 frontman Matty Healy following the end of her six year relationship with actor Joe Alwyn this past spring.

Kelce later confirmed that he had made contact with Swift and invited her to a game at his home stadium. The mystery marinated for about a week on whether the singer would show up, and show up and show out she did.
Many fans of Swift are noting that the rumored relationship with Kelce would mark her first relationship with an American in years, as both Alwyn and Healy are British.
