Model Gigi Hadid has had it with those terrible and cruel rumors. Hadid commented on a Perez Hilton post regarding alleged quotes from her claiming that she “did not agree with how Taylor Swift was handling her romance with NFL Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.” The model clarified that she has nothing but support for the new romantics.

In the Instagram comment, Hadid wrote “Didn’t the press try this last week w Selena? Let it be.. we are all over the moon for our girl. Period.” Hadid and singer-actress Selena Gomez have both maintained long friendships with the Grammy winning songstress, who recently appeared to confirm her relationship with Kelce after shouting him out via song at “The Eras Tour” in Argentina with him in attendance.

Weeks ago, Page Six first reported an anonymous source claiming that Gomez “thinks Taylor going to games and galavanting through New York immediately after just meeting Travis is something that is very unlike her. Historically, Taylor’s always been super private about everything, and now with this [relationship], she’s so open about it that it’s just very odd for Selena.”

The alleged statement was met with widespread criticism, as fans of both Gomez and Swift feel that the report is false and an example of mass media pitting two women against each other. Gomez, Hadid, and Swift have been frequently spotted grabbing dinner together in New York City alongside actresses Blake Lively and Sophie Turner in recent months.

Social Media Reactions

Fans of both Swift and Hadid were happy to see the model clear the air and stand up for the truth.

Fans of Swift were quick to defend their favorite singer’s personal life. Swift was famously criticized for her personal and romantic life throughout her career, and has written a number of songs on the double gender standards of the music industry, including “The Man.” The singer was seen embracing Kelce stage side after playing a packed house in Buenos Aires, Argentina last weekend, and many onlookers only wish the high profile couple the best.

Outside of Hadid’s support, Swift’s oldest friend Abigail Anderson has also quietly expressed support for her relationship with Kelce. Anderson and Swift have remained friends since Swift’s freshman year of high school in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She is famously the subject of the singer’s track “Fifteen.” Anderson liked a video re shared by E! News depicting Swift changing the “Karma” lyrics to “karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me” mid concert.

Gomez is yet to comment on the claims regarding her thoughts on Swift’s relationship. The singer is stopped in New York City prior to her upcoming tour stop in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
