Instagram has been focusing on its creators as of late creating communities for many online.

Instagram’s Creator Lab, an edutainment destination for creators to learn and grow their career that launched in 2022, expanded this year to Creator Lab Live, a series of IRL events in select markets to share education, encourage deeper connections, and reach more diverse communities of aspiring creators.

Instagram created events  that took place in Atlanta, Miami, and New York City and were an opportunity for aspiring creators to connect, collaborate, and level up their careers through workshops and discussions. Please see below for details on each event.

The app went live on Apple and Android app stores in 100 countries at 2300 GMT on July 5, 2023, and will run with no ads for now, but its release in Europe has been delayed over data privacy concerns.

Users can now pose a question with up to four answer choices – the poll will run for 24 hours and users can control who can respond to the poll, the same way many can control who can reply to a post. In addition, users have to vote to see current results – and once users vote, many will be notified when the poll ends to see the final results and join the conversation.

Threads has emphasized that it has been listening to its creator audience and building more features to improve the experience.
