Actress and student Storm Reid has found a unique way to balance her bustling acting career with her college studies at the University of Southern California (USC). Recently, Reid partnered with Adobe to promote the company’s AI-powered tools, particularly the Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant, as part of her academic journey and holiday gift guide for students. In an exclusive interview, Reid shared insights into her partnership with Adobe, her top recommendations for students, and her strategies for managing stress during exam season.
Storm Reid’s Partnership with Adobe
Storm Reid’s collaboration with Adobe was sparked by her belief in how technology can enhance the student experience. As a student juggling coursework, acting, and business ventures, Reid found that Adobe’s tools significantly streamlined her academic life.
“I partnered with Adobe because I truly believe in how technology can improve the student experience, just like it has for mine,” Reid shared.
Her partnership centers on promoting Adobe Acrobat’s new AI tools, which have helped her stay organized, focus her study time, and manage her workload effectively. As part of her role, Reid creates content for social media, raising awareness about how Adobe’s products, particularly the Acrobat AI Assistant, can help students stay on top of their academics.
“Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant has been a game-changer for me. It helps me focus my study time and manage everything from school to acting to running my businesses,” she added.
Post Holiday Gift Recommendations for Students
“The Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant is perfect for students,” said Reid. “It takes long, complicated documents and turns them into summaries, outlines, and key themes, which helps me spend less time searching for information and more time learning.”
Reid explained that the Acrobat AI Assistant is especially helpful for reading academic articles. The AI summarizes dense texts, making it easier for students to extract relevant information quickly. “It’s great for finding what I need in a sea of articles, reports, and papers. It gives me more time to focus on the actual content and less on searching,” she said.

In addition, the Acrobat AI Assistant makes it easy to cite sources, which is crucial for academic integrity. The tool provides clickable attributions that allow students to verify sources and incorporate them accurately into their reports or essays.
“It even helps me connect ideas across various materials like PDFs, Word files, and PowerPoint presentations,” Reid added. “It works seamlessly across all my devices—laptop, desktop, or phone. Plus, there’s a new two-way voice feature coming soon that will let me talk to it. It’s going to be super convenient!”
AI Tools for College Success
Reid has found Adobe’s AI tools, particularly Acrobat AI Assistant, invaluable in her college studies. She has used it for organizing her research, preparing for exams, and even creating study guides.
“I’ve become so much more organized with Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant. It helps me keep track of deadlines, assignments, and research materials,” she said.
For example, when preparing for an exam, Reid uploads her class notes, presentations, and papers into Acrobat AI Assistant. The tool organizes the content by themes, dates, or definitions, making it easier for Reid to review. She also uses the assistant to create quiz questions or flashcards based on her materials, which helps her test her knowledge.
“The AI even generates potential questions my professor might ask during a presentation, which is super helpful for practicing,” Reid explained.

Aside from Adobe’s tools, Reid also relies on other AI-powered services to stay organized, including Grammarly for her essays and writing assignments.
Managing Exam Stress and Staying Organized
As the pressure of exams approaches, Reid sticks to a routine to manage stress. One of her go-to techniques is the Pomodoro method, which involves studying in 25-minute intervals followed by 5-minute breaks.
“I use the Pomodoro Technique during exam season to stay focused. The breaks are crucial for recharging. I stretch, snack, or take a short walk,” Reid explained. “Staying balanced and not being too hard on myself helps me avoid burnout.”
Reid also emphasizes the importance of creating a solid routine, which she believes is essential for students balancing multiple commitments, including her acting career. “Staying organized, communicating openly, and being adaptable are key,” she said.
Reflections on College and Career
Reid’s college experience at USC has been marked by balancing academics with her growing entertainment career. “My first year at USC was full of typical college experiences—living on campus and hanging out with friends,” she said. “But as time went on, I became more strategic with my study routine, especially after partnering with Adobe.”
Looking back, Reid wishes she had known earlier to take things one step at a time and avoid feeling overwhelmed. “Setting realistic expectations and taking breaks has really helped me balance school, acting, and everything else,” she said.
Future Projects and Career Evolution
As Reid prepares to graduate from USC in May, she looks forward to expanding her career both in acting and entrepreneurship. “I have a production company, A Seed & Wings, with my mom. We’re working on some exciting projects, including Teyana Taylor’s directorial debut, Get Lite,” she shared. “I’m really looking forward to the next chapter.”
In the coming years, Reid plans to focus on meaningful projects and continue advocating for women and people of color in the entertainment industry. “My goal is to keep working on projects that inspire others and reflect my values,” she said.
With her graduation approaching and a bright future ahead, Storm Reid’s journey offers an inspiring glimpse into the balance between academics, acting, and entrepreneurial endeavors. As she continues to thrive, her partnership with Adobe is helping her—and other students—navigate the complexities of modern education with innovative tools designed for success.
