Netflix fans and slot gamers, rejoice! There’s a new game in town and it brings all of the criminal drama from the “Narcos: Mexico” Netflix series into a compelling slot game. New from Red Tiger, the award-winning iGaming studio, the Narcos: Mexico slot game has everything you love from the series — now with the added possibility of winning big.

Narcos: Mexico Netflix Series

This popular Netflix crime drama series is actually a continuation of the original “Narcos” series that covered the rise of Mexican and Colombian drug cartels as well as the origins of the drug wars in these two countries during the 1970s. Released in 2018 for Netflix streaming, “Narcos: Mexico” is a highly-rated American series about the roots of the Guadalajara cartel in the 1980s when Mexican drug trafficking was a disorganized confederation of dealers, growers, and middle-men. It wasn’t until Felix Gallardo took control of the many moving parts that it became a drug trafficking empire.

The show follows Gallardo as well as DEA agent Kiki Camarena, who moves his family from California down to Guadalajara, Mexico to start at his new post. As events unfold, the two stories converge with tragedy and ever more grey areas between the main characters.

Narcos: Mexico Slot Game

Red Tiger’s rendition of “Narcos: Mexico” in slot form is beautifully designed with photorealistic graphics and the original soundtrack from the TV show, called ‘Tuyo’ by Rodrigo Amarante. Playing the slot game feels as if you’ve stepped right into the series and joined the drug wars’ most notorious gangsters and cartel bosses.

Fans of the series will recognize the cartel bosses on the reels as the highest value symbols, including Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán (Alejandro Edda), Juan Nepomuceno Guerra (Jesus Ochoa), Amado Carrillo Fuentes (José María Yazpik) and Benjamín Arellano Félix (Alfonso Dosal).

Slot Features

The major draws of the Narcos: Mexico slot game are the four bonus features, including the Supply Drop, Double Cash, Win Exchange, and Cartel Spins.

The game also features a Cocaine Package Wild that substitutes for all of the symbols on the reels and looks like a cocaine package with a scorpion on it. An exciting bonus is the Cartel Spins Scatter feature, where the cartel bosses battle for territory, that can be triggered for additional symbols like phones and planes.

Cinematic Slots

This kind of slot game is certainly not a first of its kind. No doubt it is not a novice nor groundbreaking concept for game developers to create branded online slots. In fact, said slots may easily be found in some of the latest no deposit casinos. But, according to Red Tiger, this game will be a cut above the rest since it aims to create a more authentic, cinematic experience when compared to traditional slots.

NetEnt, another subsidiary of Evolution Gaming, actually released an incredibly popular slot game based on the original “Narcos” series a few years ago to great acclaim. So while the idea isn’t new, this new iteration of the slot game from Red Tiger has updates and improvements in all the right places.

Get in on the Cartel Wars Action

Red Tiger Studio’s designers and developers did an amazing job with this new slot game. Early reviews suggest that while it shares graphic similarities with the original, players are enjoying it even more than the first edition from NetEnt.

Both versions have 5 reels and 243 ways to win, the RTP is similar for both, but the Narcos: Mexico edition costs half as much to play. And while the original offered 1,506 x stake max wins, the newer game offers nearly 10 times that (10,486 x stake max payouts). Any way you slice it, the new slot game is the clear winner here.

The Narcos: Mexico slot game debut is big news for the iGaming world and fans of the Netflix series. Check out this dramatic game that brings all of the action, suspense, and historical accuracy to your home computer or mobile device.
