Jamie Foxx has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman during a 2015 NYC encounter.

The actor and singer has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman back many years ago according to the latest court documents.

The accusations follow numerous lawsuits accusing men in the industry physically and sexually abusing women. This is the latest accusation to follow one filed by singer Cassie alleging abuse by Sean “Diddy” Combs. The lawsuit has been settled as of this time.

The woman, who is referred to as Jane Doe throughout the documents, claims that Foxx, real name Eric Marlon Bishop, assaulted her at the Catch rooftop in New York City in August of 2015, as first reported by TMZ.

In the documents, the woman said she and a friend were seated at a table next to the star and asked him for a phot. The plaintiff alleges that he “seemed intoxicated” and eventually led her to a private part of the restaurant where he began touching her breasts and waist.

A staff member allegedly walked away from the incident despite the plaintiff stepping back in an effort to get away. Fox then continued the alleged assault by putting his fingers on her private regions until a friend of the plaintiff came to the area.

“Plaintiff suffered and continues to suffer severe emotional distress and anxiety, humiliation, embarrassment, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other physical and emotional damages,” the document reads.

The suit lists the establishment, the employees, and the co-founder of Catch Hospitality Group, Mark Birnbaum, as defendants. As confirmed by What’s Trending, the plaintiff is seeking trial by jury, compensation, and punitive damages.

Foxx was also accused of sexual assault in 2018. Back then, a woman claimed that the actor “slapped” her with his private parts, but he “emphatically” denied the claim at the time. There have been no updates on the story as of this time with the new allegations.

Earlier this year, Foxx also made headlines after health issues landed him in the hospital. The Oscar-winner addressed his recovery for the first time in July.

The lawsuit was filed under the New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which went into effect in late November 2022 and allows adult survivors of sexual abuse to sue their abusers in New York – even if the statute of limitations on their claims had expired.

The law has given adult survivors of sexual assault one year to file lawsuits against their perpetrators and is set to expire on Friday.
