Jennifer Coolidge never fails to make an audience laugh–whether it’s with her own relatable charm or the outlandish characters she brings to the screen. Last night the actress won her first Golden Globe award for best supporting actress in a limited series for her role as Tanya McQoid in the White Lotus. Fans had a lot to say about both her acceptance speech and her presentation speech for best supporting actor in a TV musical/comedy or drama.

Here’s a look at some of her best moment’s from last night’s 80th Golden Globes, and her many other memorable award show moments over the years.

At the 80th Golden Globes, Coolidge went on a hilariously relatable tangent about her anxieties surrounding presenting at the Golden Globes. From slipping on the waxed floors in heels to getting the nominees names wrong, she said what everyone was thinking. In a now viral moment at the end of her speech, she said “and the Oscar goes to…oh no no no Golden Globe!” before presenting an award to Tyler James Williams of Abbott Elementary.

Putting An Award Down During Her Acceptance Speech

After winning her first Golden Globe Award and making her way up to the stage to accept it, she put it down on the stage, saying “I can put this down right? I don’t work out so you know I can’t hold it that long.” Coolidge went on to thank several people, but especially Ryan Murphy, for continuing to find roles for her in his productions. She also hilariously thanked Mike White, the creator of the White Lotus, for casting her in the show because it made her neighbors want to talk to her. She said that before the show came out, she was “never invited to anything on my hill, and now people are inviting me.”

At the season two premiere of the White Lotus, Access Hollywood’s Zuri Hall mentioned to her that Lenny Kravitz just might have a crush on her. Her response? “Well, where is he?” she said as she smiled at the camera.

Dancing to the Music Meant To Play Her Off Stage

In 2022, Coolidge took home her first Emmy for season one of the White Lotus. After admitting to taking a lavender bath and feeling full, she began to rush through thanking as many people as possible during her “once in a lifetime moment,” causing two different tracks to attempt to play her off the stage. She stood her ground to finish her speech, and danced along to the soundtrack the academy provided her.

On the Emmys Red Carpet in 2021, Coolidge further elaborated on a story she told on the Kelly Clarkson Show ahead of the release of her movie Promising Young Woman. Years before she became the comedienne we all know and love, Coolidge posed as twins so that she could date two different men at the same time during a trip to Hawaii. And they were friends.

You can watch her latest award winning project, the White Lotus, on HBO.
