Joe Jonas, notably of his nostalgic family pop band The Jonas Brothers, has officially filed for divorce from his wife, actress Sophie Turner.

The public records of the filing were obtained by CNN.  Jonas filed the petition in Miami Dade County in Florida. The file refers to the marriage as “irretrievably broken.”

Turner has starred in a number of notable productions, including the acclaimed “Game Of Thrones” franchise on HBO. The couple married in 2019, and share two daughters together. Rumors of a split first emerged earlier this week, but Jonas wearing his wedding ring during a live performance on the Jonas Brothers’ current tour had some fans hoping for otherwise.

The actress and musician first married in Las Vegas in a small ceremony officiated by an Elvis impersonator. Later, they held a luxurious ceremony that took place at the picturesque Château de Tourreau in the south of France, according to Elle. Several of Turner’s “Game Of Thrones” cast mates were present at the ceremony.

Jonas and Turner famously shared humorous glimpses into their relationship throughout their marriage. Jonas notoriously dated singer-songwriter Taylor Swift in the early 2000s, and unwittingly became the subject of several of her early-career breakup anthems, including allegedly “Mr. Perfectly Fine” from “Fearless” and “Last Kiss” from “Speak Now.”

Swift has since forged a friendship with Jonas and Turner, with the couple attending an SNL performance of hers. Swift allegedly nods to Jonas in her track “invisible string”, in which she sings “cold was the axe I had to grind for the boys that broke my heart/now I buy their babies presents.” Fans of the singer quickly also became fans of both Turner and Jonas amid the newfound friendship.

Turner was a fan of Swift’s for years, going back to before her relationship with Jonas. Onlookers are joking that at least Turner has oddly specific breakup songs to get her through the situation.

Naturally, the Swift related jokes continue to flow. Many Swifties swear that Turner will “get” Taylor Swift in the divorce.

Elsewhere, an anonymous source alleged to TMZ that the reason for the divorce is that Turner prefers to go out and party while Jonas is more of a home body. Neither party has confirmed this information. Some fans feel that it is a false claim.

Some argued that even if the claim was true, that mothers deserve their time with friends, and that motherhood is not all that makes a woman’s identity.

Others sense that Turner is responsible for the divorce, as Jonas was seen wearing his wedding ring just yesterday.

Neither Turner nor Jonas have spoken out directly on a reason for their divorce at this time. In the meantime, Jonas appears to be Mr. Perfectly Fine while his band of brothers is still on tour.
