Julia Fox might have just made her pop star debut.

Attending Charli XCX’s show at New York’s Boiler room club where the “Speed Drive” artist was DJing, Julia turned heads not only for her attire but her performance.

Known for her daring sense of style, fans saw the star in a black dress with multiple large cut-outs over the bodice, complete with a pasty bra underneath.

This isn’t the first time Julia has made a surprise appearance, having previously joined Madonna on stage in an outfit made entirely of duct tape during the singer’s London show of her ‘The Celebration Tour. But this time, Julia treated the audience to a solo performance.

Julia took to stage while many attendees whipped out their devices to record the moment. Julia re-posted a majority of clips to her own Instagram story from there.

Fox jumped into a song entitled “Down The Drain,” named after her 2023 memoir The room cheered along to the lyrics, “I’m a bitch, I’m a girl, I’m a mother, I’m a whore.” Her stage presence was so powerful that she blew out a speaker.

Addison Rae was also in the audience for the jam packed night. The TikTok breakout sensation was seen in the crowd while the crowd cheered on the “PARTYGIRL” set.

When the event was announced on social media, 25,000 people had marked an RSVP, the most ever for a single event in Boiler Room history.

Setting the mood for the evening, British producer and frequent Charli XCX collaborator Easyfun followed NYC DJ Doss with a punchy techno set.

The continuous set with no pauses in between helped transition artists in and out and keep the crowd going.

Technically it wasn’t Charli’s first Boiler Room, as the artist had produced a quarantine-era set from her home in Los Angeles in June 2020.

G. Cook also joined the lineup by playing an unreleased song from his upcoming Britpop LP titled “Cute Clothes” featuring vocals from both Charli and Rae.

Charli also introduced her fiancé, drummer and producer George Daniel of The 1975. One of the standout tracks of the evening came courtesy of Daniel’s production in the form of his remix of Caroline Polachek’s “Welcome to My Island,” featuring fast-paced vocals from Charli.

In a touching tribute to the late producer SOPHIE, Daniel remixed an unreleased song from Charli entitled “365” with SOPHIE’s hyperpop hit “Faceshopping.”

The set was an unofficial introduction to XCX6, the inaugural party of Charli’s forthcoming “party girl” era.
