It seems like Jonathan Bailey may be joining ‘Jurassic World’ alongside Scarlett Johansson.
The actor, following his role in Fellow Travelers, may be coming to the film according to a new report from Deadline. The star has apparently been in talks to star in Universal and Amblin Entertainment’s new Jurassic World movie. Gareth Edwards will be directing the film that is also seeking to have Scarlett in the mix as well.
The studio recently slated that the picture will most likely come out on July 2, 2025 and locked in Edwards quickly.
After impressing producers Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall, who helped launch the franchise in the ’90s, an offer soon followed.
Pre-production is expected to start soon.
The new movie will seek to have a fresh take without cast members Chris Pratt and Bryce Howard. The original trilogy’s thespians Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill will also not be returning.
The film will be will be executive produced by Spielberg through Amblin, and Marshall and Patrick Crowley will produce through Kennedy-Marshall. EVP Production Development Sara Scott and Creative Executive of Production Development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project for the studio.

Bailey as of late has strong ties with Universal after he landed his role in the highly anticipated Wicked adaptation.
The studio is high on the project as of late after the reveal during its CinemaCon presentation.
Bailey recently earned a Critics Choice Award for his work in Fellow Travelers making him a frontrunner in the Emmy race.
