Justin Bieber is taking a viral paparazzi moment in stride, and showing he’s fully in on the joke.

After footage of the singer telling photographers he was “standing on business” made the rounds online, the 31-year-old turned the meme-worthy moment into an opportunity for a little fun. On June 18, Bieber posted a black-and-white selfie to his Instagram Story, pairing the image with Myia B Music’s “Stand on Business,” which features the lyric: “When I get you alone, She said I stand on business.”

The post wasn’t a one-off. Bieber shared several more selfies, each soundtracked by a different song referencing the now-viral phrase. Tracks included Soulja Rilla’s “Standing on Business” and Fredo Bang’s “Dat Business,” cementing that Bieber was not only aware of the internet chatter but leaning into it.

Viral Video Sparks Meme Frenzy

The origin of the online moment stems from a video published June 13 by Page Six, which captured Bieber confronting paparazzi on a Malibu beach. In the clip, he calmly, but firmly, asks photographers to respect his space.

“You’re not getting it, it’s not clocking to you,” he says. “It’s not clocking to you that I’m standing on business.”

The Grammy-winning artist, who shares a 9-month-old son with wife Hailey Bieber, continued by accusing the photographers of attempting to provoke him.

“I’m a real dad, a real husband, a real man,” he added. “So don’t do this to me, OK? I’m not to be f–ked with. I don’t know who’s paying you to provoke me, but I’m not the one.”

Fans React With Humor and Support

While some fans poked fun at Bieber’s phrasing, the general sentiment across social media has been one of amusement and appreciation for his authenticity. His choice of words quickly became a catchphrase for users online.

“Bieber dropped the mic with respect, no extra, just solid vibes ,” one user posted on X. “I’ve said ‘It’s not clocking to you that I’m standing on business’ 10 times today.”

Another fan joked, “He ate real bad with this one.”

Bieber’s self-aware posts in response to the buzz seem to only be fueling the meme’s staying power—and reinforcing his reputation as someone who knows how to take internet moments with a grain of salt.
